Here we are in week three with appears to be a very healthy “mother” at the bottom of the hard cider. The bubbles rising up from the liquid are about 1 per minute currently which is about what it should be, if maybe a little less.
According to the instructions, it has but another week to go before I am going to siphon, filter, and funnel it in separate bottles. I am going to hit the Bowery kitchen supply stores this Saturday for the accoutrements for that task.
In other news, I believe the next attempt of liquor will be mead. Now I need to find an easy recipe…
